Victoria Newborn Photography- Baby Scarlett

It’s a rainy afternoon here and as I sit in the studio listening to the rain fall on the metal roof, I can still feel the warmth from the golden sunshine in this maternity session.

We decided to keep Scarlett’s session warm and neutral to bring in the same golden colours and textures from the maternity session. I think we chose the right colour pallet to suit Starlett’s personality. She sure loved being all wrapped and warm in those cozy blankets!

I always love photographing maternity sessions the second time around for families. Celebrating and capturing these last moments of a family of three full of anticipation with what is yet to come.

Making connections with little ones during maternity sessions not only produces some fun images, but can also go a long way in helping to create a comfortable environment for them during the newborn session. This little guy rocked both of these sessions. He is pretty smitten with his new little sitter. Really it’s hard not to be! She is just so precious

Newborn Photography Victoria BC, Baby Kailey

Spring has always been my favorite time of year. It is hard not to be inspired by all the natural beauty when nature shows its new buds and blooms.

When Kailey came to the studio for her newborn session the streets where lined with cherry blossoms and the large plum tree in back yard full bloom. Luckily Kailey’s mom was into pink because the blossom theme definitely shines though in her session. I love how pretty and girly images turn out.

Newborn Photography Victoria BC, Woodland Session

There is no denying the breath taking beauty we are surrounded by here on Vancouver Island. I am so fortunate to have so many locations to draw on for inspiration. When my clients asked for a forest maternity session I was more that excited to bring those textures and elements into their newborn session!

I had so much fun planning this session for baby Charlotte. From collecting ferns from the forest, to making a bed from branches from the old cherry tree that once stood in my yard, to the most perfect piece of driftwood carved by nature waiting for newborn to be nestled in it, this session truly captures that magical feel of the west coast forest.
